Overview

Instant Teams is looking for a dynamic QA/QC Engineer to join our product management team.

The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for working with the Product Manager, VP of Technology, and the development team to verify the product releases meet the requirements and provide a pleasing and consistent user experience.  Acceptance testing will be performed before each release, including regression testing to make sure previous features are not broken, and smoke testing to verify successful deployment to each environment.

They will also be responsible for load and scalability testing because our upcoming growth goals are very demanding and performance and reliability must be maintained throughout.

Day in the Life

  • Design and execute systems to check for issues
  • Document test cases and results
  • Perform and document risk analysis
  • Code automated tests
  • Create test plans
  • Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
  • Drive innovation and streamline overall testing processes
  • Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout testing
  • Identify potential problems that users might encounter
  • Perform manual and automated testing
  • Research and analyze product features being tested
  • Research new tools, technologies, and testing processes
  • Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality
  • Provide Tier 2 product support

Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Great troubleshooting skills
  • Strong programming knowledge
  • React, Express, GraphQL knowledge is a plus
  • Familiarity with AWS is a plus
  • Excellent organization and time management
  • Knowledge of scripting and coding languages
  • Experience with automated UI testing tools is a plus
  • Performance, load, and stress testing
  • Smoke and Regression testing
  • Experience with operations dashboards
  • Knowledge of various accessibility standards are a plus


Required Education and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in QA/QC
  • Bachelor degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Regular Working Shifts

Available to work 40 hours/week and be available during your time zone’s core working hours

Eastern Time Zone Team Members
10 am – 4 pm

Central Time Zone Team Members
9 am – 3 pm

Mountain Time Zone Team Members
9 am – 3 pm

Pacific Time Zone Team Members
8 am – 2 pm

Hawaiian Time Zone Team Members
7 am – 1 pm

The remaining 2 hours are flexible on the front end or the back end, with approval and communication to your supervisor.
